Training Days in Denmark for Pan Am Athletes

Uriel Canjura (ESA), Fernanda Saponara (PER) and Alonso Medel (CHI) worked hard during a four week training period in Denmark and are ready for the next Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.

The Centre of Excelence of Holbaek, Denmark, hosted our 3 Pan Am players thanks to the coordinations of Badminton Europe with Badminton Pan Am.

“The level of training was high, we had players and coaches with a lot of experience and that makes us stronger. I trained new things that help me a lot to prepare for the Youth Olympic Games and I hope to face them with a lot of confidence and determination”, said Uriel Canjura, El Salvador young promise.

Peru’s Fernada Saponara will never forget these days: “It was an unforgettable experience, probably one of the best badminton experiences I could have. The atmosphere was totally different, each one focused on what he had to do on the court, with a lot of dedication and responsibility. I learned new techniques of play, warm-up and stretching. And now I feel more motivated than ever, ready to face any obstacle that comes up and give the best of me on the court, especially in the next Youth Olumpic Games”.

“Sharing and training with players who are at a professional level, with super clear goals and objectives was a wonderful experience. I learned new exercises which will help me in the technical part, as well as exercises in the gym. I am very motivated, with a lot of energy and hoping for the best for what is coming”, said Alonso Medel, from Chile, who also enjoyed this training camp.
