Shining in Peru – Para badminton

Pan Am Para badminton players from Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, Guatemala, United States and host Peru shined at the  Peru Para badminton International 2022, BWF Para badminton International Level 2 event held from November 29 to December 4in Lima, Peru.

World medalists showed a great performance reaching one more podium. Nilton Quispe and Giuliana Poveda (PER) won the gold in Mixed Doubles, Poveda and Rubi Fernandez did the same in Women’s Doubles while Pilar Jauregui won another gold in Women’s Singles WH2 and Vitor Tavares reached the podium top in Singles SH6.

Pan Am medalists as Jaime Aranguiz (CHI), Jaqueline Burgos (PER), Julio Cesar Godoy (BRA), Daniele Souza(BRA), Manuel Del Rosario (CUB), Diana Rojas (PER), among others, reached the podiums with a good level of game.

Also, Yoelvis Rodriguez from Cuba, Davis Talibah from Barbados, Amy Burnett from USA, Jonathan Mattos from Argentina and Raul Anguiano from Guatemala showed good performance and reached bronze medals in this event.

Pan Am Para badminton athletes will continue competing and will seek to score points to qualify for the next Parapan American Games Santiago 2023.
