I am from El Salvador. After my basic academics, I continued my studies at a military training centre where I played a lot of team sports.
I worked for a private club with the squash association. The club also had badminton and thatโ€™s how I saw it for the first time.

What struck me was how fast and explosive the game was; the movement of the shuttlecock fascinated me.
I fell in love with badminton and I have been involved with it since then. Iโ€™ve been with the association as administrator and as initiation coach.
I was part of the team attending the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018 as technical director of the association and coach of the team.
Badminton is everything to me now. It has taught me the positive aspects of sports such as values, friendship and discipline.

The main difference is in the shuttlecock. Children have fun from the first day they know the sport. It can be played in small and safe spaces, and one can impart it to children in a playful manner.

Shuttle Time has had a big impact because children learn and understand badminton in a playful way. The Shuttle Time programme is for everyone, without barriers or gender, social status, physical or mental ability. Whatโ€™s important is the opportunity for children to achieve their dream.
