This nomination reflects consistent results in international para-badminton, including a key victory earlier in 2025 at the British & Irish Para Badminton International 2025 — where Jauregui defeated a top rival, marking her first win against her since the 2024 Paralympic Games.
As a nominee, Jauregui stands among the elite selected by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), based on ranking, tournament results, and overall contribution to the sport over the 12-month eligibility period ending November 2025.
