Samuel Ricketts, Priyanna Ramdhani and Kennie King were flag bearers at the Opening Ceremony of Santiago 2023.
Our Pan Am Badminton players had the honor of leading their countries’ delegations during the parade at the opening ceremony, being recognized by their national Olympic committees.
“Holding the flag was an amazing experience and I feel very honored to be named flag bearer”, refered Samuel Ricketts after leading the Jamaican Delegation.
Kennie King from Barbados was also very happy with the experience and also for representing Badminton at the ceremony. “It was truly an honor to carry my country’s flag and being a badminton player I had a big smile on my face being able to represent the sport in front of thousands of people. It was really amazing.”
Also, this experience was amazing for Priyanna Ramdhani from Guyana and encouraged her for the competition. “It’ was an honour to carry the flag of my country (Guyana) for the Pan Am Games Opening Ceremony in Chile. It was an exciting experience and the crowd of the stadium was amazing. I do look forward to performing my best at the Games.”
