AirBadminton took center stage in João Pessoa on July 27, as six member associations came together for the Pan Am Air Badminton Junior Cup 2026. Played in the Triples format, the event showcased the growing enthusiasm for AirBadminton across the Americas, with Brazil claiming the men’s title and Peru emerging victorious in the women’s competition.

Brazil Dominates the Men’s Competition
Brazil delivered an outstanding performance throughout the men’s event. The hosts topped their group with victories over Peru and Suriname before advancing to the knockout stage. In the semifinals, they defeated Jamaica to book their place in the final, where they overcame Mexico with another commanding display to secure the championship.

Peru Takes the Women’s Title
After finishing first in their group with wins over Mexico and Jamaica, the Peruvians defeated Brazil in the semifinals before overcoming Paraguay in the championship match to capture the gold medal and conclude the AirBadminton competition on a high note.

During the awards ceremony, Badminton Pan Am also recognized the dedication and commitment of the Technical Officials, whose contribution was instrumental to the successful delivery of the championships. In addition, each team that reached the podium received a set of AirShuttles, reinforcing Badminton Pan Am’s commitment to supporting the continued development and promotion of AirBadminton throughout the region.
