CAREBACO International Champions – Pan Am Circuit 2019

Pan Am athletes from Brazil, Canada, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, United States and host Barbados took the podiums at CAREBACO International 2019, held in St. Michael, Barbados, from August 20 to 25.

United States duo Vinson Chu and Breanna Chi won gold in Mixed Doubles, after defeated Pan Am Games medalists Fabricio Farias and Jaqueline Lima in the final. Howard Shu and Paula Lynn Obanana (USA) complete the podium with the bronze medals.

Timothy Lam (USA) won silver medal in Singles. Lam reached the final with victories against players from Barbados, Canada and Island, but could not overcome Sam Parson (ENG) and got the second place in this tournament. Also Samuel Ricketts reached MS podium with a bronze medal.

The Women’s Doubles crown was for Monyata Riviera and Tamisha Williams. Barbados duo reached finals after defeated athletes from Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana. In the Final, they won by WO. Priyanna Ramdhani (GUY) / Sabrina Scott (BAR) and Neah Callender / Krystal Clarke (BAR) won the 3/4 places.

In Women’s Singles, Fabiana Silva was the only Pan Am athlete on podium. Fabiana won the bronze after losing against Jordan Hart (WAL) in Semifinals.

Jamaica’s duo Gareth Henry and Samuel Ricketts won the gold after defeated Timothy Lam (USA) and Antonio Li (CAN) 21-9 and 21-16 in the final. Mitch Aubrey Nai Chung Tong and Soren Opti (SUR) and Cory Fanus and Bradley Pilgrim (BAR) complete the podium with the bronze medals.

Our Pan Am athletes continue adding experience and points in the differents tournaments of the Pan Am Circuit 2019. The next stop is X Internacional Mexicano 2019 that will take place in Aguascalientes next September.
