Each time we are closer to the XXVII Pan Am Junior Championship 2018, a tournament that will take place at the Pan-American Judo Center in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, United States and the host Brazil, have confirmed their presence in the team event that will take place from July 18 to 20.
To these countries, players from Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela will join, a total of 16 countries, which will compete in the Individual Event that will take place from June 22nd to 26th in Bahia.

Strong Teams
USA and Canada will look for gold once more. Both have 10 titles in the category and will seek to make a difference. USA is the defending champion, however Canada will try to mark its hegemony also in junior championships, with outstandings players like Brian Yang, qualified to Buenos Aires 2018, Katie Ho-Shue, among others.
Brazil does not want to be left behind and will have its best badminton players to ‘make respect the house’. Among them, Fabricio Farias and Jaqueline Lima, junior athletes who also managed to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games 2018.
Also Peru and Mexico know what it is like to get on the podium in a Team Event and they will look for surprise in this tournament.
Pan Am Badminton Future
Outstandings junior badminton players will fight to get the gold medals in each category, from U11 to U19. Fernanda Saponara (PER), Alonso Medel (CHI) and Uriel Canjura (ESA), who will also be in Buenos Aires 2018, are some of the athletes to follow in this tournament.
