Pan Am Champions! – ASU2025

Victor Lai, Rachel Chan, Juliana Vieira and Davi Silva won the gold medals at the Pan Am Junior Games 2025, held in Asuncion, Paraguay, from August 10 to 13.

Pan Am Junior Games 2025 concluded with exciting matches, where players from Canada and Brazil achieved glory by winning the finals and earning the coveted gold medals. The podiums were also completed by outstanding athletes from the United States, Mexico, and Peru.

Victor Lai started the competition as seeded 1 and reached solid victories against athletes from Paraguay, Ecuador, Brazil, and United States to reach the final, where Lai defeated Deivid Silva (BRA) in straight games (21-6, 23-21). Deivid also had an outstading performance during the competition, defeating players from Venezuela, Jamaica, Guatemala and seeded 2 Adriano Viale from Peru. Viale and Zicheng Xu (USA) got the bronze medals.

Rachel Chan defeated players from Venezuela, Jamaica, United States and Mexico to reach the final and defeated seeded 1 Juliana Vieira (BRA), 21-12, 21-16. Juliana also had a great tournament with victories against athletes from Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Venezuela, and United States. Vanessa Garcia (MEX) and Ella Lin (USA) completed the WS podium.

Davi Silva and Juliana Vieira (BRA) are the Mixed Doubles champions. They defeated pairs from Guyana, Suriname, Peru, and United States in their road to the final. Three games were necessary to define the champion and 23-21, 14-21, 21-19 was the score to sealed the victory of Silva/Vieira against Victor Lai/Rachel Chan (CAN). Te bronze medals were for US pairs Tian Qi Zhang/Audrey Chang and Zicheng Xu/Ella Lin.
