After the second day of competition, we already know the medalist of our Pan Am Junior Games 2025, and tomorrow Semifinals will be played since 5pm (Paraguay time).
“It’s an inexplicable emotion; I have no words to describe this victory. These are my first Pan Am Games, and securing a medal is inexplicable. I fought hard, worked hard to get here and achieve this result. I’m very happy, and now I want to focus on the semifinals and possibly reach the final.” – said Deivid Silva (BRA), after defeating Yeison Del Cid (GUA) in Quarter-Finals.
Defending champion (Cali 2021) and bronze medalist in Santiago 2023, Rachel Chan (CAN) also referred about her experience in this Pan Am Junior Games 2025: “This is my second time competing in this event, so I’m very excited to be back on the court and happy to have earned a bronze, although I’m hoping for gold. Thanks to Badminton Canada for choosing me again to represent Canada, and to my coaches and home team for helping me prepare for this tournament.”.
“I feel quite happy. What we had planned at home, to win a medal, has already been accomplished, but the championship isn’t over yet, and I’m looking for the gold medal, and tomorrow I’m going to give my best. I’m grateful to my family and also to the team I trained with at the Regatas club. It hasn’t been easy; we’ve been training very early, and they’ve done their best to support me. What I’ve achieved is also thanks to them.” – said Adriano Viale (PER) who started competition as seeded 2 and now reached Semifinals.
“I’m so happy, it’s inexplicable. I want to thank everyone who has supported me: my physical trainers, my coaches, my family, above all, and everyone who is part of my multidisciplinary team. This is one of the achievements we set for ourselves, and thank God, it was achieved. It’s the result of the effort and sacrifices we’ve been making over the years. I’m so excited.” – Vanessa Garcia (MEX)
“We are very exciting for been here because it is the first time for both of us, and it is like a new experience. We are very lucky to come, and we tried to perform our best.” – Zicheng Xu & Ella Lin (USA).
“We’re very happy to win another medal for Brazil. We’re looking for more and will try for the gold. It was our first time playing mixed doubles, but I (Juliana) have a lot of faith in Davi; he’s a doubles specialist. I asked my friend Sania questions and drew inspiration from her to play our best here. We’re grateful to our parents, to God, to Marco, who coaches us with Fabiana. It’s also thanks to them that we got here.” Davi Silva & Juliana Vieira (BRA).
