Canada Will Host XXVIII Pan Am Junior 2019

City of Moncton, New Brunswick- Canada, will host the next XXVIII Pan Am Junior Championships 2019, tournament that will take place from July 11 to 20, 2019 at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud facilities.

During the Meeting of the BPAC Executive Committee, in the framework of BWF Annual General Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, the venue of the XXVIII Pan Am Junior Championships 2019 was chosen. Canada, Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico submitted their candidacy to host the XXVIII tournament edition tournament, being City of Moncton, New Brunswick, in Canada, the chosen.

XXVII Pan Am Junior Championships 2018 will be held in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.

Canada, Pan American power of our sport, will once again receive a major continental tournament (Toronto hosted the XXVII Pan Am Junior Championships 2017). The Center d’éducation physique et des sports (CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud) will be the stage that will gather the best youth badminton players of the region.

Canada will host the BWF World Junior Championship this year.

The XXVIII edition of the Pan Am Junior Championships will be held from July 11 to 20 and will start with the U19 Team Event from 11 to 13, and after a day of rest the Individual competitions will be played.

Competition Venue: CEPS LOUIS-J. ROBICHAUD
The Centre d’éducation physique et des sports (CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud) is a world class facility that has welcomed numerous national and international events in the recent past. It is located in the heart of the of Université de Moncton Campus.

The CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud is an outstanding badminton facility, considered to be the most well-rounded sports complex in Atlantic Canada, and was the host of the 2016 & 2017 U23 / Junior National Badminton Championship, the 2016 Para Badminton National Championship, and has hosted since 2015 Badminton Canada’s Junior and Senior National Elite Events. The facility Main Hall currently has 8 Yonex badminton courts on site and is fully equipped to run live scoring on all eight courts. The Warmup Hall has additional space for up to 8 practice courts.
