The Badminton Pan Am Male and Female Cup 2020 began with excinting matches on the first day. Best teams added their first victories at Groups Stages, being close to the next round.

Day 1 started with Female Competition where, in Group A, Canada defeated Guatemala (4-1) while Mexico did tha same in the third session of the day, defeating Guatemala after a tough tie (3-2). Now, Canada and Mexico will define the first of the Group A in the first session of Day 2.

 Peru are leading Group B after their two victories against local Brazil (3-2) and Falkland Islands (5-0). USA also added a victory this day, after defeating Falkland Islands (5-0) in first session, but losing against Brazil (2-3) in session three. With this results, Peru is almost qualified to Semifinals and Brazil and USA will fight for the other spot in the next stage. Tomorrow, Peru will face USA and Brazil will do the same with Falkland Islands.

In Female Competition, the first two of each group will qualify to the next round, while the third of both groups will dispute the fifth place of the championship.
Teams Canada and Mexico lead Group A in Male Competition, after defeating Brazil today. Canada won the tie 5-0 while Mexico did the same (4-1) in the fourth session of the day. Canada and Mexico will fight for the first place in the group on the second day of competition, while Brazil will face the third of the Group B.

Canada, Falkland Islands, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, United States and host Brazil are the teams that are competing looking for the cup, and players are seeking points in the Road To Tokyo 2020 Ranking.
