Before the Finals of the XXVII Pan Am Junior Championships Team Event, Bahia, Brazil, shined with an amazing Opening Ceremony, which was attended by Mr. Vishu Tolan, President of Pan American Badminton Confederation (BPAC), Mr Francisco Ferraz, president of Badminton Brazil Confederation (CBBd) and authorities of Salvador de Bahia.
The Ceremony included the participation of children from social projects developed by the Government of Bahia, who carried the flags of the countries that compete in this tournament and enjoyed the Tam Event final.
Mr. Vishu Tolan delivered representative badminton bracelets to these children, along with Victoria Montero, olympic badminton player from Mexico.
In addition, Mr. Vishu Tolan, after congratulating the organization of the event and encouraging the athletes to continue developing badminton in their countries, delivered a significant present to the CBBd president and representatives of the Government of Bahia, thanking the effort in the development of the XXVII Pan Am Junior Championships 2018.
A great musical party, led by a “batucada” (music and dance) closed this joyous opening ceremony, embracing the joy that characterizes Brazil and encouraging everyone to enjoy the competition.
