Canada and Brazil will play the Final of the XXVII Pan Am Junior Championships 2018 – Team Event, from 4 pm (local time) on Friday, July 20, at the Pan American Judo Center in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
Chile and USA will dispute the third place in the first session of the Team Event Final Day (10am local time).
Today, Canada made sure to climb to the podium after beating Mexico, the team that ranks seventh in the general qualification, in the first match of the day (5-0) and beat Chile in the Semifinals (3-0).
Brazil managed to qualify to the semifinals after defeating Peru 5-0 in the last match of Group B. In Semifinals they met USA and after hard-fought matches, the hosts managed to take the victory (3-0).

Peru and El Salvador disputed the 5th place of the tournament after falling both in their matches today. The first could not overcome against Brazil, while the second fell against the USA. In the match for the 5th place, Peru beat El Salvador 3-1.
