The 2026 Pan Am Air Badminton Cup brought a vibrant close to the week at Regatas Club in Lima, where teams from across the continent competed under the sun, sea, and sand. Beyond the title, the tournament carried added significance, as Brazil and the Dominican Republic secured qualification for the Air Badminton World Cup.
Saturday’s mixed team competition featured Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and host nation Peru. Divided into two groups, Brazil and the Dominican Republic advanced from Group A, while Mexico and El Salvador progressed from Group B to complete the semifinal lineup.
In the knockout stage, Brazil defeated El Salvador 60-49, while the Dominican Republic delivered a commanding 60-52 win over Mexico to book their place in the final—and with it, their ticket to the World Championships. The title match saw Brazil take full control, sealing a dominant 60-45 victory to claim gold and confirm their place on the global stage.

Brazil’s squad featured the recently crowned Men’s Triples world champions, adding experience and top-level quality to a team that demonstrated consistency and authority throughout the competition.
With this result, both Brazil and the Dominican Republic stood out in Lima and earned the opportunity to represent the region at the upcoming Air Badminton World Cup, reinforcing the region’s growing presence in the discipline.
