Winners in Colombia – Pan Am Circuit 2025

I La Perla del Otun Future Series 2025, Pan Am Circuit event held in Pereira, Colombia, from September 24-28, had Pan Am players on the podium. Outstanding athletes from Argentina, Mexico, Peru, United States, Venezuela, and host Colombia won the medals showing good representation of our region.

Colombian stars shone in this tournament, winning a gold medal in Women’s Doubles, silver in Women’s Singles and Mixed Doubles, and bronze in Men’s and Women’s Doubles.

Juliana Giraldo and Karen PatiƱo reached the gold in Women’s Doubles after defeating duos from Venezuela and Argentina to reach the final, where they faced Mariangel Garcia/Maria Rojas (VEN) getting a victory in straight games (21-16, 21-14) to reach the gold. Iona Gualdi/Ailen Oliva (ARG) and Laura Galeano/Maria Julieth Perez (COL) got the bronze medals in this event.

In Women’s Singles, Ines Castillo won the gold medal after defeating local star Juliana Giraldo in the final, after a intense match by 21-19, 24-22. Bronze medals were for Sabrina Solis (MEX) and Gabriela Skorkowska (POL).

Enrico Asuncion (USA) was the champion in singles. He started the competition as seeded 2 and defeated athletes from Venezuela, Argentina, and USA, to reach the final where he defeated Abeywickrama (1) from Sri Lanka, in a 3-games match (21-15, 19-21, 21-16). Isaac Yang (USA) and Bruno Carvalho (POR) reached the MS 3/4 places.

Asuncion also won gold in Men’s Doubles along with Samuel Cassar (QAT). They defeated Mexicans Erick Trujillo/Israel Vasquez in the final to reach the podium top. Bronze medals were for Colombians Nicolas Morales/Sergio Zapata and Daniel Borja/Miguel Quirama.

Nicolas Oliva and Ailen Oliva (ARG) reached the podium top in Mixed Doubles. They started the competition as seeded 1 duo and defeated duos from Qatar, Venezuela, Poland, and Colombia to win the gold. Daniel Marulanda and Ana Higuita (COL) won the silver, while Jeronimo Giraldo and Juliana Giraldo got the bronze medal.

Pan Am Circuit 2025 will continue with the Guatemala International Challenge during the first week of october and some more events during this month.
